The Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC) offers state-of-the-art facilities for Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) applied to clinical research. CIRC is the only imaging facility in Singapore dedicated to clinical research, including the in-house production of PET radiopharmaceuticals. Consequently, the Centre currently hosts over 50 such clinical research projects involving investigators from both academia and industry, and collaborates with 17 different institutions island-wide, for the provision of clinical imaging and radiopharmacy facilities for the research community in Singapore. The clinical research at CIRC specifically focuses on disease areas relevant to Singapore and SE Asia with the objective that such research should translate into improved healthcare for the general population. In particular, the availability of an advanced radiopharmaceutical production facility will enable CIRC to perform first-in-man studies and participate in an early-stage assessment of new molecules, particularly with pharmaceutical companies developing new treatments and drugs.
To be a world leading research centre for clinical imaging.
To provide a shared national resource in human imaging for translational research by fostering collaboration between scientists and clinicians.
